Isuzu Power Solutions Strengthens Melbourne Dealer Network

Isuzu Power Solution (IPS) has expanded its growing footprint of diesel engine specialist dealers with the appointment of Melbourne-based LK Diesel to deliver on its quality off-highway range of engines and support in and around the southern metropolis.
A division of Australia’s best-selling truck brand since 1989, Isuzu Trucks, IPS makes use of the same diesel engine technology for its range of power units, industrial engines and enclosed generator sets.
Operating from its base in Braeside in Melbourne’s southeast, LK Disel has been offering the best in diesel engine sales and service since 1967. It has been part of the Kuhlwind family with second generation brothers Michael and Bernard heading-up the operation that employees 17 people including eight service technicians.
Only the best
“LK Diesel only works with high-quality diesel engine suppliers and when the opportunity arose to become part of the Isuzu Power Solutions dealer network, we knew it was the right fit,” said Mike Kuhlwind.
“We sell and supply to so many industries from agriculture, through to heavy rail, mining and everything in between. These customers all recognise the importance of high-quality diesel engines, parts, service and advice.
“The demand for quality engines has never been higher and in Isuzu, we know that we not only have a great product to work with, there’s also outstanding supply plus the back-up that ensures we can sell and service our customers.
“I can say that we have confidence in the Isuzu products, plus the IPS structure of people and back-up is second to none.”

Growing footprint
Isuzu Power Solutions has enjoyed outstanding growth of late, with an expansion of the sales team with the highly experienced Shane Moretto joining as Sales Manager for Victoria/Tasmania and New Zealand, including the dealer relationship with LK Diesel.
“As a well-established name in the off-highway diesel engine business, IPS is thrilled to officially welcome LK Diesel to the Isuzu family,” said Mr Moretto.
“The diverse range of customers that LK Diesel sells and services puts IPS in front of a wide range of industries; allowing us the opportunity showcase the premium quality of the Isuzu products and our engineering services.
“IPS is not simply an engine distributor, we offer the full range of technical back-up including highly experienced engineering to deliver the best solutions for LK Diesel and its customers.
“We ensure that the LK Diesel team is fully trained in the Isuzu product both from a sales and a service point of view, which provides further customer piece of mind, when they select an IPS product.”

Onwards & upwards
With IPS offering a range of solutions, LK Diesel sees many exciting opportunities in the Isuzu partnership.
“This is our primary business, we don’t sell trucks, we sell and service advanced diesel engines,” said Bernard Kuhlwind.
“Thanks to 55 years of experience in this sector, we recommend the best diesel engine solutions to our customers.
“IPS has a great range of products across the key segments of power units, engines and generators. The technology is right, the reliability is strong and the back-up is spot on.
“It comes down to quality on all fronts. Isuzu has forged an outstanding reputation with its trucks and LK Diesel knows that the same rigor applies to its off-highway engine solutions, and we have great confidence in offering that to our established customers.”
