Isuzu Power Solutions Expands Sales Team

Isuzu Power Solutions (IPS) has strengthened its market presence with the appointment of seasoned industry professional, Mr Shane Moretto, as Sales Manager for Victoria, Tasmania, and New Zealand.
Bringing over 35 years of experience from leading diesel engine and component manufacturers, Mr Moretto’s unique background brings deepened technical expertise and commercial insight to the broader IPS team.
His career began on the tools as a diesel mechanic with Detroit Diesel, before progressing into engineering and new product development and testing roles.
This mechanical foundation was further honed by a stint working in a Top-Fuel Funny Car drag racing team in the USA, cultivating a passion for high-performance engineering.
Widespread experience
Returning to Australia, Mr Moretto transitioned his extensive technical knowledge into sales roles for major engine and transmission brands, including Isuzu OEM partners Allison Transmissions. This diverse experience has proven invaluable in delivering tailored power solutions to a wide range of industrial, marine, and agricultural customers.
“Isuzu has been a trusted brand in the heavy vehicle business for decades and the opportunity to grow the IPS side of the business was too good an opportunity pass-up,” said Mr Moretto.
“It is not just the product itself, but the technical back-up with engineering that has the customer front of mind.
“Our model is not just about telling a customer what they need but work with them to ensure the best outcome for the requirements.”
Country covered
Mr. Moretto joins a dedicated national sales team led by National Sales Manager Troy Lawson. He works alongside Brisbane-based John Robinson (NSW and Queensland) and Scott Lewis in Perth (WA, SA, and NT).
“Shane is a welcome addition to an already experienced team which now covers the entire country,” said Mr Lawson.
“The past 24 months have seen significant growth for IPS, with customers benefiting not only from our product options but also from enhanced technical support, such as that provided by our recently appointed Engineering Manager, Benjamin Binns.
“This group ensures a total focus for off-highway Isuzu diesel engines, this is especially important with the dealer network relationship which spans wide and varied applications in metropolitan, regional and remote locations.”

Solutions-driven approach
Applications for IPS products are as far and varied as Australia itself with Moretto saying Isuzu’s range of products and technical back-up is what sets it apart in the market.
“I can recommend the right solutions based on my experience as well as input from a first-class sales team, with full engineering and technical knowledge radiating directly from the factory in Japan,” he said.
“The cohesive approach from the full IPS team and the footprint of dealers across the country means customers have total peace of mind when dealing with IPS.
“Wherever reliable power is needed, IPS has a product.”
The core IPS range
The IPS range of power units features Starter (light-duty), Economy (medium-duty) and Premium (heavy-duty) packages. All are designed and built with a range of Australian conditions in mind.
60 engine model variants offer flexibility and customisation. Each engine family can be ordered as a standalone ‘fan-to-flywheel’ unit or adapted into a complete power unit. Included in the range are both mechanical and common rail engine options.
Ready-to-work gensets with outputs from 20 kVA to 50 kVA. Enclosed in high-quality casings with sound-softening technology, the 20 kVA and 37 kVA models operate at just 51 dB(A) at seven metres. All are designed for local requirements with Australian receptacles and remote power-up options.
